---------------------------
Roger Staples (Middlesbrough) won the Tyneside CA Midweek AC Handicap Tournament with Derek Old (Belsay Hall) runner up.The weather was mixed and we had the Clock lawn gazebo blown into the lake, a dog ran onto the Pavilion lawn to "steal" the balls and the rain washed away the white lines...apart from that it was a good event!
............................
We are holding a "Try It" day on Saturday 12th June at Exhibition Park, from 2 - 4 pm
All you need are flat soled shoes. We have mallets for you to give Croquet a go and you never know, there may be a budding Robert Fulford out there just waiting to set the croquet world alight! Come and try it for FREE.

Middlesbrough won the Tyneside Quaich for the second time since its inception three years ago.

Tyneside drew with Belsay Hall in the Croquet North League in the first match of the season.

The season has started with some silverware for David Turner at the Pendle Easter weekend tournament. David won the Low Handicap trophy when he beat Roger Staples of Middlesbrough in a shoot out at the peg.

Tyneside Croquet Club was established in 1983 and is at home in Exhibition Park and also Nuns Moor Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. (See Photo Gallery for directions to Exhibition Park.)
Newcastle is easily reached by good road, rail and air links from any part of the country and the club is situated within Exhibition Park on the northwest edge of the city centre.
With a membership of over 30, two courts (ex bowling greens) in Exhibition Park and 1 court (ex bowling green) at Nuns Moor Park, substantial pavilions, situated in major city parks, we are in an enviable stuation for a croquet club.
The Croquet Association (CA) is croquet's governing body of which we are a member club and we are also affiliated to its regional federation Croquet North (CN).
We play Association and Golf Croquet and have fixed allocated club days and evening sessions, hold coaching sessions and club championships.
We would consider any corporate visit to the club, when we could provide supervised games and refreshments -
